The Log Harvesting Sector Benefits Plan
The Log Harvesting Sector Benefits Plan provides Interior Logging Association and North West Loggers Association members, their employees, spouses and dependent children with protection for day-to-day health and dental expenses and in the event of a serious illness, accident or death.
Our Group Benefits are custom designed to meet the needs of the forest industry. They are cost effective for you because as a member of the ILA you benefit from the volume buying power of our association. Once you become an association member you are eligible to join the Group Benefits Plan.
Flexible packages
Members choose the right level of coverage for you and your employees from four available packages. Each package offers different levels of coverage from the Economy package which provides the lowest level of coverage to the Deluxe package that includes a Pay Direct Drug card. If you have 10 or more employees, you can choose to custom design your own coverage to suit your needs.
No medical exams
You and your employees do not have to provide evidence of good health. Every eligible employee is automatically entitled to the coverage in the package you choose.
Claim premiums as a business expense
If your business is incorporated, you can use all benefit premiums as a deductible expense. A sole owner may be able to deduct part of the cost. Contact your accountant for more details.
